“Even the wind has something to teach a curious mind.”

Untuk beberapa saat, Chloe dan Sophie masih membiarkan tangannya terulur ke luar jendela. Mereka masih mencoba merasakan angin yang terus mengenai telapak tangan.

“So if we had a kite now, we could actually try it, papa?” tanya Sophie. “You could but you would still need to learn how to read the wind.”

“Read the wind?” Chloe mengulang dengan wajah sedikit heran. Chris tertawa kecil. “Yes. You need to notice which way the wind is coming from and how strong it is. That helps you position the kite properly.”

“So we just point it into the wind?” Sophie mengernyitkan kening. “Not exactly,” jawab Chris. “It needs to be at the right angle so the air can help lift it.”

Chloe melihat tangannya yang masih terulur keluar. “Like my hand?” “Exactly,” kata Chris. “Try changing the angle of your hand a little. Feel how the air changes?”

Chloe menggerakkan tangannya perlahan. “Oh, yes. I can feel the wind moves.” “That is what you do with a kite too. You use the string to change its position and keep it where the wind can lift it.” lanjut Chris.

Saya pun tersenyum melihat keduanya masih sibuk mencoba berbagai posisi tangan, seolah sore itu mereka baru saja menemukan cara baru untuk memahami angin.

“Sometimes all it takes is a little wonder to see the ordinary differently.”
