Warna biru seindah pendaran batu emerald membungkus sempurna langit Hong Kong di bulan April saat saya, Mbak Tya , Rico dan koko-nya Rico yaitu Frans menginjakkan kaki di negara beton tersebut. Kami tak perlu khawatir kedinginan karena suhunya berkisar 20 hingga 25 derajat Celcius. Di musim semi ini terlihat aneka warna kelopak bunga mulai melenggok tanda waktunya merekah serta di sempurnakan dengan segarnya warna hijau dedaunan di tiap batangnya.
April adalah waktu yang sangat tepat untuk berkunjung karena merupakan shoulder season yaitu peralihan antara low season menuju high season , para tourist sudah mulai berdatangan , namun belum tumpah ruah. Selama disana, kami mengunjungi salah satu tradeshow terbesar di dunia yaitu Hong Kong Gift show. Daya juang, gritty, discipline dan ketekunannya di umur mereka yang masih early twenties membuat saya terpukau.
Bertolak belakang dengan yang sering didengungkan ke para anak muda saat ini that when you are young, you’re supposed to go out and having fun as that’s when you have the most freedom. It’s when you don’t have as much responsibility so you should enjoy life to the max. Actually, when you are young that is the time that you can do the most, you can work the hardest, you can sleep the least and focus on your long-term goal.
Dear me, live your youth to the fullest so that when you hand yourself over to your older self, you live with contentment not with regrets and anguish. Dear Mbak Tya, Rico and Frans. I do admire your work ethic and mindset.
