“Our bad memories and our bad experiences are what make us who we are and what make us grow and allow us to learn, if we choose to see the lessons in those experiences.” Elijah Wood
Memories is the diary that we all carry with us dan my own diary is what makes me who I am . Every passages has memories to recall and I should pay attention to what I remember, because it brings meaning to the moment. They create my worldview in ways I hardly realize.
One thing to bear in mind, not all the memories are beautiful and if I made mistake in the past, I shouldn’t keep the blame in my heart, otherwise I cannot move on and experience the present fully.
Mistakes are important for my growth and it may come with heart break and struggles but after each one, I should find one positive thing that came from that mistake and hold on to that.
I shouldn’t get carried away with the bad experience, learn to let go and remind myself that I cannot control everything in life. I should fill my heart only with tons of love and give myself entirely only to the present.
The way it feels to be me , my expectations, hope and fear are all built upon what I’ve experienced before.
The better I understand what makes me who I am and learn how to let go, the more empowered I’ll be to create myself intentionally. Make room in my heart for more happiness and free the brain space to record new memories.
“Your memory is the glue that binds your life together, everything you are today is because of your amazing memory.” – Kevin Horsley
