“Self-awareness doesn’t remove the waves, it teaches you how to ride them.”

“Sometimes I think clarity is like that… like once you have it, everything makes sense. Self-awareness feels the same way, like suddenly you get it all and life should be easier.”

Tourist laki-laki ikut menimpali sambil tersenyum tipis sambil matanya mengikuti gerak kapal. “Funny thing, it doesn’t really work like that.” Saya menoleh sembari setengah tersenyum. “Is that so?”

Ia menganggukkan kepala. “We all start noticing things we used to let pass. Being aware doesn’t make it easier. Sometimes it feels heavier because suddenly you can’t just move through life without noticing.”

Tourist wanita ikut mengangguk pelan. “So clarity comes with effort. It doesn’t lighten things. It just changes how we carry them and yeah, sometimes that weight feels heavier.”

Laki-laki itu menarik napas panjang sambil menatap laut. “You can’t unsee things once you see them. But noticing, maybe it gives you a chance to act differently, even if it asks more from you.”

“Self-awareness doesn’t soften life, it asks you to meet it fully.”
