“We learn more by looking for the answer to a question and not finding it than we do from learning the answer itself.”  Lloyd Alexander

“You know, Mama,” katanya tiba-tiba, “I didn’t always like learning this way.” Saya menoleh pelan. “Maksudnya, sayang ?”

“I mean the IB curriculum at school,” ujarnya sambil memainkan butiran pasir. “It’s different. We don’t just memorize anymore. We have to think, connect and keep questioning. At first it felt too much, but now I kind of like it.”

Ia berhenti sejenak lalu tersenyum. “Maybe because I finally understand what learning really means.”

“I think I’m lucky to have experienced different kinds of learning,” katanya lagi. “When I was in primary, the Cambridge curriculum taught me discipline. It helped me build structure and focus.”

“Then when I was homeschooled for a while, I learned how to learn by myself, with you and Papa as my teachers. But the IB these last few years… it feels like learning how to think, not just what to think.”
