“To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.”  Dr. Seuss

“I miss my children. As soon as I get home, I will go straight to the martial arts ground. Hopefully I can still make it before they finish their rolling.”

Ia mengernyit lembut. “Rolling? I’m sorry, I don’t really know martial arts. Is that like sparring?” Saya mengangguk. “More like practice on the ground. They’re doing three at once. Kickboxing, judo and Brazilian jiu-jitsu.”

Saya tertawa pelan. “It sounds like a lot, right but they love it.” Ia tersenyum kecil. “That must be hard, being away as a mum.” “It is” jawab saya jujur.

Cangkir saya putar perlahan. “I used to think feelings only mattered if someone responded to them or if someone saw it. Now I know they still matter even if nothing around me changes.”

Saya tersenyum tipis. “You mentioned earlier that our lives are small in the bigger picture. Maybe that’s true but in my children’s daily world, I’m not small. I’m home to them and honestly, that’s enough for me.”

“In a crowd you are just a face but to someone you are home.”
