Rembulan menghilang tertutup oleh iringan awan. Hembusan angin seakan berlari melewati ranting pohon saat pesawat yang saya tumpangi dari Hong Kong tiba di bandara Gusti Ngurah Rai , Bali. Saat melewati gate di arrival area, Sophie melambaikan tangan dengan excited di gendongan Chris.

 

“Broer Nigel dan Zus Chloe mana ? ”

“Tidur, mereka kalau tired, go to bed right away, mama. “Sophie memberikan pelukan hangat saat saya mencoba menggedong tubuhnya yang sudah bukan ukuran baby lagi.

 

“Mama juga capek tapi kita mampir sebentar ke workshop lihat tukang yah, sayang.” Mengecup lembut kening Sophie.

“Kalau capek, you should sleep first seperti broer Nigel dan Zus Chloe. You are not a robot, mama.”

 

Sekilas pernyatan singkat itu hanya sekadar saran, namun jika saya cerna lebih dalam ada pesan yang mendalam. Akhirnya saya urungkan niat dan memilih pulang untuk memberikan tubuh dan pikiran saya hak untuk beristirahat dari rasa penat.

 

Oh well, ada kalanya tubuh ingin berkomunikasi disaat pikiran saya tak menyadarinya. When I have a busy schedule, I tend to overlook the signs that point towards a problem that needs immediate fixing.  I should let my body and mind rest and repair.

 

My body and mind share a close link or in other words, what goes on in my head echoes throughout my entire body and vice versa.

When I hit the wall of overwhelm, stop everything and unplug. Just take a moment to listen to my body and pay attention to what my mind communicates through bodily sensations.

Dear me, take some time to be a human being  not a “human doing.”
