“The world becomes a little larger every time we allow ourselves to wonder.”
Tangan Sophie dan Chloe masih terulur keluar dari jendela. Angin sore menerpa telapak tangan mereka dan membuat rambut curly keduanya semakin berantakan.
“See?” Chris melanjutkan. “When the air moves around your hand, you can feel it pushing against you. A kite works in a similar way. Its shape and position help the moving air create lift, which keeps it up in the sky.”
“So the kite has to face the wind in the right way, papa ?” Chloe kembali memiringkan kepala sambil menatap ke langit, mencoba mencari layangan yang baru saja dilihatnya.
“Exactly and the string helps the person flying it control that position. They are not just holding the string. They are constantly adjusting it to work with the wind.”
Sophie menggerakkan tangannya sedikit, mencoba mengubah posisinya terhadap angin. “Like this, papa?”
Chris mengangguk. “Exactly. You are already learning how to fly a kite.” Saya ikut tersenyum dari depan.
Sophie lalu menggerakkan tangannya naik turun, mencoba merasakan perbedaan tekanan angin di telapak tangannya. Chloe ikut melakukan hal yang sama. Keduanya kemudian saling melihat dan tertawa.
“There is something beautiful about seeing the world through eyes that still wonder.”
